Male Figure

This is an much older painting of mine. This model had a really sick ponytail (kind of just a tuft of weird hair) that I took the artistic license and left it out.

Double Figures

This was a period I went through. I constantly painted on top of other paintings. You may be able to make out the woman posed on a stool with dreadlocks.

Lauren P. (detail)

This was a really quick painting that I believe was kicked out in about 30 minutes. Although I had many, many starts that failed and got wiped out.

Windowsill on North Ave.

A painting of my favorite flannel shirt. I was drinking a lot of Pellegrino at the time and there was always at least one bottle hanging around.

Self Portrait - long night

This is pretty old and done in the early hours in the morning after a long night in the studio. It was the last of about 12 portraits I had done through the course of the night. I think it shows.

Small Still Life

The painting is only maybe 2 x 2.5 inches. This might be its actual size.

Teacup with Lightbulb

This painting was done very quickly and I left most of the surface unfinished. I thought that it really showed how objects emerge from absence to presence. The Pellegrino bottle is captured mid-birth while the teacup and lightbulb are pretty well realized.

Teacup Still Life

If one looks at my still lifes there are a lot of objects that I am always interesting in painting. Most of the work is very small. I think this one is 4.5x5.5 inches or so.

Still Life lamp and bottle

This still life has a couple of older paintings in the background that were a pleasure to paint twice.

Still Life with Grand Dame

I think this photo is an actual size of this painting. It's tiny.
